Deepti Ramachandra

Dr. Deepti Ramachandra is a lecturer, and researcher with a passion for small animal medicine and reproductive health. She earned her veterinary degree and master's in animal reproduction in India before moving to Australia, where she completed the Australasian Veterinary Examination in 2021. 

She has been part of the University of Melbourne since 2018, completing her PhD in 2022 and now lecturing in small animal clinical studies. Her research focuses on reproductive diseases in dogs and cats, including pyometra and uropathogenic E. coli

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her cat, Idli, and exploring Melbourne’s food scene
