Anaesthesia Nurse Team Leader​ at Greencross Vet Hospital at the University of Melbourne​

Joel began his nursing career in the UK in 2013, starting in small animal general practice where he developed a strong interest in anaesthesia. For the past seven years, he has worked exclusively in a specialist setting, focusing on anaesthesia and completing further training. After moving to Australia in 2022, he joined the GVH team in early 2023. Joel is passionate about education, especially guiding nurses and DVM students to understand the why not just the how —emphasising critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
